Why doesn't my browser Back button work?
Unlike many web sites that display static information, TVHorseSource.com is a web-based application. Most of the pages on TVHorseSource.com are created out of a database and don't exist as a separate file. Page content is dynamically generated depending on the value of variables (such as search criteria, login status, or horse id), which were defined on previous pages. These variables may or may not make sense when moving backwords through the application. In addition, sometimes moving backwards causes undesireable effects (such as a listing being added more than once). To navigate through TVHorseSource.com, please use the buttons and links provided on the pages and not the browser Back button.
Some of my photos did not get uploaded
TVHorseSource.com is equipped to accept JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF images which are not greater than one megabyte (1 MB) in size. If a user attempts to upload an unsupported file type (such as BMP), or attempts to upload a file that is larger then one megabyte, the server will skip that file. For example, a user adds a listing and attempts to upload three files, a 750k JPG image, a 870k PDF image, and a 430k GIF image. The server will accept the JPG and GIF images, and will silently ignore the PDF image.
The two most common causes of login failure are 1) the user forgot his or her password or 2) the user has inadvertantly pressed the "Caps Lock" key. Please make sure that your Caps Lock is off.
Since passwords are encrypted in the database we cannot tell you what your password is. But we can reset it for you. In this case the system generates a new password and emails it to the email address you used when you registered. Please use the "Contact Support" form below to request a password reset.

How do I prepare my photos for upload onto the website?
So you've scanned some photos or downloaded them from your digital camera and you want to post them on your web site. You will need to reduce the size of your image file before you upload it. To do this you will need a graphic editor program. Here are two easy to use programs that you can download and use for free:
The first is a graphic editor called Irfanview. This is a fairly small file (821 KB) so it should download quickly even if you have a dial-up connection. After you have downloaded it, double-click the file to start the installation. Once installed, this program will allow you to reduce the size and dimensions of your graphic files and at the same time maintain an acceptable level of quality. Before making any of the following changes make a back-up copy of your original file.
Another good choice is Google's Picasa. It also free.
